Membership

The Canadian Association for Laboratory Animal Medicine/L’association canadienne de la médecine des animaux de laboratoire (CALAM/ACMAL) is a national association that represents the interests of Canadian laboratory animal veterinarians. CALAM/ACMAL is a small and supportive group consisting of veterinarians who work in academic, government, pharmaceutical and biomedical sectors. Membership in CALAM/ACMAL provides an opportunity for laboratory animal veterinarians to network with colleagues across the country and share professional interest.

Membership is open to licensed veterinarians either working in the field or with a keen interest in laboratory animal medicine. Applications must be endorsed by one CALAM/ACMAL member in good standing.

• CALAM/ACMAL Luncheon (held during the annual symposium of the Canadian Association for Laboratory Animal Science / Association canadienne pour la science des animaux de laboratoire (CALAS/ACSAL.)
• Salary Survey (participate in survey and receive this critical document, which tracks current salaries in the field in Canada)
• Attendance at the Annual General Meeting (AGM)
• Full voting privileges (except student members)

• CALAM/ACMAL offers funding for an animal welfare research projects in collaboration with CALAS/ACSAL
